A.W.A.K.E.N.I.N.G.
Because he dreamed of him each night...
Chrono Number X's eyes opened as he awoke from the dream he had a few moments ago. Surprisingly, he wasn't sweating and his heart was beating normally, while a few seconds ago, he was bloody nervous and all the senses of his body were alerted. He groaned and sat up, brushing away a few rebel strands of ebony hair from his face.
"Ugh... This is the third time in a row..."
His voice was soft and slightly dry; numerous sleepless nights did leave their mark. Wandering his gaze over to the open window, he recalled what had shaken him so much...
"Train-san! Why-why are you here?!" a shocked and very, very nervous Shaolee asked as he backed onto the wall.
"I came to see you, X," the brown haired sweeper replied with a smirk.
"See me?" the other one whispered. "Why do you need to see me...?"
"I don't need to see you... I need you," Black Cat replied with a playful smile, running a few fingers along the young Asian eraser's collarbone to trace his tattoo made visible.
Shaolee shuddered under his touch and tried pushing his hands away. Train smiled as he watched the black haired assassin becoming so weak in front of him. His smile spread as the other one blushed when he leaned closer.
"Train--"
Number X closed his eyes and shook the image away. What was he thinking? Train would never say those words to him, let alone love him. He was a high-class sweeper living a stray cat's free lifestyle; Shaolee was Chrono's pet eraser. Nothing in the picture worked. No epilogue turned out right.
He let his blue eyes run through the nightsky as his thoughts drifted yet again to the brown haired man. A sigh he didn't notice escaped his lips.
"I'm just happy he knows me..."
